About this listen

The Spirits Book (1857), written by Allan Kardec, is widely regarded as the most important piece of writing in the spiritist canon. It is the first in a series of five books that Kardec wrote that are collectively known as the Spiritist Codification. Although the other four books, The Medium's Book, The Gospel According to Spiritism, Heaven and Hell, and The Genesis According to Spiritism, are of great importance to the Spiritist movement, it is The Spirits Book that lays out the doctrine of the belief system.

quite a lot of errors in reading that haven't been edited out. chapter 11 seems to be the moment the editor gave up. you'll hear sentences repeated multiple times.

also I keep hearing a soft ringing soundm like the narrator is wearing a loose metal button.

I got through this in a week, couldn't put it down. It's like a how to on how to improve your life and be a good person. From time to time I did notice the odd contradiction but overall it's a really amazing read for someone wanting to live a spiritual life. There was one section that kept skipping in the audio which Is why it lost a star for performance but have to say I really enjoyed this book and highly recommended
