Summary

England 1857. After a blow to her head, Sarah Marks awakens in a strange bed with a strange man and no memory of how she got there. Her handsome bedmate, Lord Eastleigh, tells her she's suffering from amnesia and the best course of action is to travel home with him until she recovers her memory.

The story may have been bearable had the narrator been better. The tone was monosyllabic and considering the amount of drama it was dull and flat. Don't bother 😴

I loved the characters. They were unusual and quirky. I don’t want to give the plot twists away but I was left satisfied. And surprised. The diverse accents the narrator was able to pull off, was delightful, will look out for her and the author again.

Great story but narrator was slow and flat. If you change the speed settings to 1.2x then it is much better. I am on book 2 of the series with the same narrator, again if you speed it up it’s much better.
