A fabulous portrayal of the Edwardian era made so much more interesting by the narrator Judy Bennett, who brought every character to life. I have listened to this book so many times and never tire of it.

The reader has a lovely speaking voice and reads very well, but the story, unfortunately, drags a bit in places. I just wish that the author would leave out much of the background behind most of the individual stories and just get on with the actual season for the young ladies instead. Would've been better to have been abridged in this case
