Lewis had the remarkable ability to identify the crucial elements of the Christian belief and to face them head on with intellectual testing and self criticism.
All his essays include profound "enlightenment" delivered in a basic, reasoned, non mystical analysis demanded by critics since The Enlightenment of scientific analysis.

Pure faith, without evidence, without question, still remains the most holy path to Christ and salvation because that is the true definition of Faith.
Sadly in our modern age where all faith is under severe scrutiny, Christian blind faith is for many no longer a straight path to God and those searching for meaning yearn for a reason based approach.

Lewis and his cohorts have answered that call.

Modern day Oxford and all the universities are in a spiritual deficit, almost drought, without the likes of Lewis and this has become clearly evident in the current state of our education system in its clash with morality and the divine laws.

Another unique set of work from still one of the greatest modern theologians.

Oh my goodness do we need this man’s thinking today. Really concise, developed arguments and commentary.
I could listen to him all day!

Articulated in a good manner and went in depth into his opinions on the formations of religion and scientific beliefs however some things I had heard before but they were said in a more understandable way.

There are many interesting essays here, however I’m not overly convinced that all of them are a direct link to The Search for God theme. However I am encouraged to again reread God In The Dock.

I do enjoy C.S. Lewis, so I did enjoy these essays.

I need to reread God In The Dock!
