About this listen

Emerging triumphant from the firing line of war is no easy feat...

In war-torn Warsaw, Anna joins the Polish resistance, risking everything for freedom with memories of her fanatical Nazi husband fueling her determination. As she grows close to the resistance, a kind doctor named Mateusz ignites dreams of a different life. But her happiness is shattered when her husband resurfaces.

Now, Anna must masquerade as his wife once more to gather vital information. Can she spy on her own husband without losing her nerve? And with an enemy officer watching her every move, can she shield Mateusz, the man truly she loves, from danger?

Packed with love, betrayal, and perilous choices, this is perfect for fans of The Alice Network, The Nightingale, and The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Although I enjoyed this audio book I didn’t think the storyline was as strong as Her Secret Resistance (which is listed as part two in this series) as it basically followed exactly the same plot with a bad guy coming after the main characters. I do like the authors style of writing and the narration was good though.

Ok listen but same plot line as the previous part in this series

Very much enjoyed this book. The story was excellent and so interesting ..could not stop listening. Such bravery and relentlessness of these people and the resistance.
The narrators both excellent.

Excellent

Distinct characterisation in the reading was excellent. I hate not knowing who is supposed to be speaking.

Brilliant narration, especially Emma Wilkes
