As a murder mystery, pursued (albeit reluctantly by a Voodoo priestess-turned detective , the pace is sufficiently leisurely to soak in the feel of New Orleans and the characters that inhabit it. Robin Miles narrates the novel with Gusto in an authentic range of southern accents.
