Summary

Horrifying, heartbreaking and eye-opening, these are the stories, the patients and the cases that have characterised a career spent behind bars.

The no-holds-barred memoirs of a GP who went from working at a quiet suburban practice to treating the country’s most dangerous criminals - first in young offenders’ institutions, then at the notorious Wormwood Scrubs and finally at Europe’s largest women-only prison in Europe, Bronzefield.

Great listen

fascinating insight into life as a prison doctor, also some very sobering real life stories that left a feeling of greater appreciation for what I have.

Fascinating

Brilliant, my only criticism is that it was not longer. Had me weeping and laughing.

Interesting. Good insight into prisoner's lives.

The prisoner's were certainly lucky to have such a compassionate doctor to care for them.

interesting but somewhat superficial and limited

would have made a more interesting listen if there outcomes tended to gloss over the reality for Women
ans put a 'niceness ' on the stories .
I feel it said more about the writer than the Women in Prison ...
