Summary

As a secret agent for the British government, Anthony Brooke wants to expose a gang responsible for blackmailing innocent people and gruesome murders. But when they plot a kidnap, Anthony must race to reach the little girl before they do.

Milly will not be easy to retrieve, for she is in a Belgian convent, in German-occupied territory. To rescue her, Anthony must go behind enemy lines, crawl under the wire, face ruthless guards and break into the convent. Even if he can save her, what use could an orphan girl be to a violent gang? Anthony must find out, as countless more lives than just Milly's are in danger....

Great Narration

An entertaining story, very well read.
The plot point featuring the little girl got a little convoluted in the end I thought. While there was a lot to like about this, I felt it was let down by going into a gallop at the end, which seemed unnaturally truncated. It was like the author had ran out of time. I’ll be looking out for more by her nevertheless.

Brilliant reading

I’m the author of the book and I couldn’t be happier with David Thorpe’s terrific narration of the story. With his range of voices and accents, he really is just the best narrator I could have

Great narrator, let down by story

Overly long, overly complicated, at times completely implausible. The first story was brilliant but this was a crushing disappointment of a sequel.
