About this listen

Everything, well, almost everything, you know about American history is wrong because most textbooks and popular history books are written by left-wing academic historians who treat their biases as fact. But fear not; Professor Thomas Woods refutes the popular myths in The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History.

Professor Woods's audiobook reveals facts that you won't be, or never were, taught in school. It tells you about the "Books You're Not Supposed to Read" and takes you on a fast paced, politically incorrect tour of American history that will give you all the information you need to battle and confound left-wing professors, neighbors, and friends.

Woods describes brilliantly how the original ideas of American liberty have been steadily corrupted over the years. A great read for anybody interested in US history and/or libertarian philosophy .

I’ve listened to a few of these politically incorrect books and I’ve found them to be hit and miss. Some are great, others are terrible. Some site sources for their facts and some, like this one hardly do. It’s biased to a conservative pro American view which I very much expected (and that describes me well). However, as a student of history, there are large parts of complete fiction. Most often no sources are given or it says “modern scholars” are responsible for some of the complete fiction this book spouts. A real shame. It’s a book written with a very clear and obvious agenda. Glorifying the darkest parts of America’s history and vilifying the best.
Don’t let this mostly fictional tripe put you off trying the other books in this series.
