About this listen

For 300 years, The Pilgrim's Progress has remained perhaps the best-loved and most read of devotional fictions. In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

Very well read, very good character voices, plenty to ponder on.

I understand that it is the first novel written in English and has never been out of print.

Love it. Well paced and beautifully read. Worth listening again and again. Most memorable part was the struggle with Giant Dispair and while at the House of the Interpretor. I would recommend for young adult from 10 plus too.

Enjoyablo and Enlightening !

A joy to go on the journey of faith again with Bunyan's tender characterisations of the dinner saved by grace.
