FROM THE #1 BESTSELLER

‘If you like your conspiracies twisty, your action bone-jarring, and your heroes impossibly dashing, then look no farther’ Mark Dawson

When twelve-year-old Valentina fails to return from a visit to her father in Moscow, alarm bells start ringing. Her rich and powerful family know there’s one man they can depend on to bring her back safe: former SAS major Ben Hope.

But what starts off as an apparently straightforward case of parental child abduction quickly takes on more sinister dimensions as Ben travels to Moscow and starts to investigate the whereabouts of Valentina and her father, Yuri – a man with a hidden past not even his ex-wife knows about.

Now that past has caught up with him, it’s not only Yuri’s life that is in danger, but Valentina’s too. If Ben Hope can’t save them, nobody can.

The Ben Hope series is a must-read for fans of Dan Brown, Lee Child and Mark Dawson. Join the millions of readers who get breathless with anticipation when the countdown to a new Ben Hope thriller begins…

Whilst the Ben Hope thrillers can be enjoyed in any order, this is the seventeenth book in the series.

I didn’t love this one. To begin with I thought it was the book where the author turns on the loyal reader and starts churning out anything just because they know they will sell, I’m sure we all know at least one author who is guilty of that. Fortunately, it was not the case, thank you Mr Mariani.

What has been becoming more and more annoying is the long running use of “he just didn’t know it yet” or variations of that phrase.

Still enjoying!

I've said this a number,of times, but this latest adventure for our hero ,for me, surpasses all the rest! The totally engrossing non-stop action, engaging characters and wonderfully convoluted plot seriously interfered with various other things I was SUPPOSED to be doing!
The scary conspiracy theories from the past raising their sinister heads again, together with the graphic descriptions of some truly dreadful people illtreating other human beings, would have been intolerable were it not for the superb,edge-of-ones -seat writing, and some excellent narration.
lt was also rather fun when the dog was revealed to have had more or less the last word!
Altogether outstanding!!

Best yet!

Always captivating! I love the attention placed on the details of the different places; I am catapulted directly into the story and can feel every emotion each character is experiencing. I enjoyed the experience of being seated on the luxury jet as well as bouncing over dirt trailed roads in the Mercedes and tumbling along at high speed in the van. I also enjoy listening to Colin Mace who truly brings the characters and places alive.

Thank you both (Scott Mariani and Colin Mace) and your team.

Another action-packed, slightly implausible story from Mariani. Enjoyed it though and looking forward to the next Hope adventure.

Another great story
