WARNING! BECAUSE OF SOME THINGSTHAT ENOCH SEES IN OUR DAY CONCERNING CERTAIN LIFSTYLES THIS MAY NOT BESUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!!

Today on the podcast is the second and final episode on the three books of Enoch. Now last week we really set the table by talking a lot about the history of the books and how they made their way into modernity before diving into FirstEnoch. On this Episode we wrap up First Enoch and then dive into Enoch’ Two and Three. Now if you are like me one of the coolest things to discover is things that are uniquely Mormon in ancient texts. Well today on the show you get a bigdose of that, especially if you are familiar with the Ordinances of the Temple. We also end up finding traces of principles such as, the Pre-Existence, The Degrees of Glory after resurrection, what Enoch saw in our day, and much more. Hang out for a fascinating conversation this week.

WARNING! BECAUSE OF SOME THINGS THAT ENOCH SEES IN OUR DAY CONCERNING CERTAIN LIFSTYLES THIS MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!!

There are some figures in the scriptures that are mentioned that we don't know a lot about. One of those figures is the prophet, Enoch. We know some things but historically not a ton. When Joseph Smith received the Book of Moses there was more light shed on this ancient prophet, and then with the discovery of some texts of the book as well as the Dead Sea Scrolls, we received a lot more. Now if I have to go wade through the Apocrypha to find information on Enoch thereis really only one guy to talk to, and that is Ken Peterson. Ken has been on the show quite a few times so we are all familiar with who he is. I mean he literally wrote the book Mormonism in the Apocrypha. This will be part one of a two part series. In this episode we first dive into the history of the threebooks of Enoch. We find out how they were discovered, who discovered them, tradition surrounding the books, then plunge head long into Enoch one and make it almost all the way through as we discover some fascinating doctrine thatseems to support Joseph Smith’s teachings in the Restoration as well as some things that seem to point to that Enoch saw our day. From there we wrap up this first episode but next week you will want to tune in for part two of thisconversation where we dive even deeper into books two and three of Enoch and find some really mind-blowing stuff for Mormons.

  • Episode #230: The Road To Societal Armageddon W/Michael Ness
    Apr 11 2026

On this episode Michael Ness joins me again, only this time we are going to do something a little bit different. Michael and I have always said “it is too bad that folks don’t get to listen to some of the stuff we talk about when the microphone is recording”. So with that thought in mind we decided to have one of those types of conversations but this time just hit the record button and let it go. The result is that we have a discussion about a lot of things that are plaguing our society and culture. We cover everything from the potential for nuclear war, to population collapse, the retconning of history, the breakdown of the family and some of the incorrect historical assumptions around that topic, our poisoned food supply, the effects of social media, how younger generations were given unrealistic tax burdens placed on them by the baby boomers outside of Mormonism, the dangers of social media and much more.
