In the Western Australian wheatbelt, refugees Anushey, Shahab and their daughter find safety in the sleepy town of Nunich. But when their daughter disappears without a trace and the town is plunged into chaos and violence, their newfound sense of security is shattered. Suspicions flare, slurs are hurled and tensions rise. Suddenly, Nunich and everyone in it find themselves caught in a storm of media frenzy, political corruption and even terrorist threats.

Then another little girl goes missing.

Told from the shifting perspectives of a refugee mother, the town mayor, a local journalist and a weary detective, The Missed isn’t just about the race to catch a predator, but also to save a community's soul.

Very good and gripping but also depressing

This is a great podcast, really gripping and well acted, I had to listen to all the episodes in one day. The characters have depth and the story has many layers. However it is also quite hard to listen to in places, as it portrays a lot of grief over lost children, so if you’re feeling fragile I would wait until another day!

Excellent voice acting

Really enjoyed this - i've had a hard time following any audible story from start to finish, but the voice acting in this series captured me. Genuinely enjoyed this series, riveting, gutting and suspensful.

Grim

Pretty depressing and difficult to hear. Some of the performances were very good. The reveal was dealt with too quickly I would say. Too much time taken up on minor characters’ small town squabbles. Binged listened though so it must have been pretty good

Super!!

I like this kind of stories, as if it’s a movie instead of just one spoken voice. Also very real and sensitive how the hurt was to miss there children.

Totally gripping

This is a very sad and gripping podcast to listen to. It was well played and I managed to listen to it between mid-September and early October. I must recommend it.
