I'm glad that I did it in this order. Having seen the musical I did not get lost in the book's twists and turns and I had patience when the story went off into different avenues. in which she discusses the novel, the translation process, and her approach to it. You also can find online some independent articles about this translation.

OK, it's long - very long, and as with novels of this time, has long sections that go off on a tangent. But absolutely compelling, and excellent narration.

This was an easy to read book on what it is like to cope with a loved one that is battling with substance abuse. A great perspective from someone that has lived and gone through this herself.
