Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

A truly excellent listened as expected
After listening to Pete's podcast for some time I had some expectation of what this would be like. This audiobook brings together the important content of what everybody should be working towards with their finances. Pete explains everything slowly and clearly without coming across as condescending. he also explains things in a compassionate manner and understands what for majority of people need to do to secure their future finances.
Great work Pete and thank you. I'm glad to finally give something back by purchasing this audiobook. It won't be long until I'm invested into a passive multi asset fund ;)

Excellent
As somebody who's never been interested in investing, partly through fear and partly through not really understanding how it all works, this book has been fantastic. It helps ordinary people understand how best to slowly and steadily build wealth without needing to spend a fortune during the early stages on a financial advisor.
For those really wanting to understand all the technical elements, Pete's podcast would be an important part of that, but for those of us who are just looking for a simple explanation of the steps you can take to secure a better financial future, this book is all you need!

The best way to start your personal finance journey
This book is a masterpiece - easy to follow with plenty of useful information and an abundance of resources. It has already prompted me and my family to attend to our financial matter which until recently was almost a taboo topic. We are no longer relying on quick fixes and shop cards and we are a lot more intentional. I was so impressed with Pete Matthew’s expertise and approach that I am dedicated to listen to the book every year just to keep myself on track while I also regularly listen to his podcast. I strongly believe that this book should be part of the school’s curriculum and that it provides an amazing value/price ratio. I would go even further to say hat it is almost like a free lunch. Thank you Pete!

What a book! What an author!
This book is excellently written and well organized. The best personal finance book I have read or listened to. Useful and practical information. Very appropriate for the UK. The author explains facts beautifully; makes you feel like he’s sat next to you. Couldn’t stop until I finished it. I’ve also bought the kindle version, subscribed to the podcast and started using the website. Thanks Pete.
