Summary

This Vampire tale appeared in the 1927 issue of "Weird Tales" but a good story never ages and this one is a very good one. A tall stranger at an afternoon tea interests Jules de Grandin. He learns of the man's ferocious actions during the war against the Turks and notices his unusually hairy palms. Soon de Grandin and his friend Dr. Trowbirdge are called upon to treat a young man's mysterious illness. Following up on an ancient legend of "Sarah", they then learn of an old, old man accosting young ladies. When Sgt. Costello stops by for a bit of advice about a missing young woman, Jules put the pieces together and the trio races to prevent a horrible tragedy.
