Lydia, Robyn and Dean don't know each other - yet.

They live very different lives but each of them, independently, has always felt that something is missing.

What they don't know is that a letter is about to arrive that will turn their lives upside down.

It is a letter containing a secret - one that will bind them together, and show them what love and family and friendship really mean...

This book started off with lots of potential and I hoped the twists and turns would take me on a magical journey. Unfortunately, the book was a little far fetched for me and some subjects touched a nerve. So sadly not one I would recommend.

Too far fetched for me.

I really like Lisa Jewell’s books and always enjoy the stories. This was no different however I became a bit irritated with the use of the line “you know” which all the characters use frequently at the end of a sentence. I started to notice it, and it was definitely worse in “Before I met you” however once you pick up on it, it becomes more obvious. It’s a writing style which probably would not stand out as much in text if you read the book, however it’s more noticeable to me at least when listening to the story which I enjoyed so probably being too picky.

Enjoyable story

Good story, kept my interest until the end. Characters were interesting. Would recommend reading it. 4 stars.

Surprised by the story, not similar to others by this author but I did enjoy it.

Lisa Jewell builds some very realistic characters then entwines them with a very realistic storyline. Was a great listen.

Excellent!
