The white-washed Italian villa is perfect. I thought it might feel odd, living in a stranger’s house for the summer, but as my husband and children swim in the infinity pool, I start to relax. And then, in the back of a wardrobe, I find something that shatters everything.... Sparkling green eyes, square jaw, lopsided smile. A young man with his arm around a beautiful woman. The picture is old and faded, but I’d recognize him anywhere. The man is my husband.

Reads like a Good Suspense Novel...
...despite not actually claiming to be a suspense novel. The suspense is built around the anticipated coming together of 4 completely separate domestic/family stories - stories of 4 separate people. Beautifully crafted, plenty of emotion. There's even the possibility of a murder at one point. Plenty of cliff hangers at the end of each chapter as we switch to one of the other 4 stories, eventually leading to a very satisfactory ending. I'm a fan of Lisa Jewell, and I'm pleased to say that this latest book is up there with her best.

I've never been more bored
This book had first been categorized as a mystery thriller which is why I'd purchased it. It's not a mystery thriller so I'm glad it's been put in the appropriate category although I do feel mislead. I normally enjoy the author's books but this was a miss for me and I'll be returning. So incredibly boring.

More of a heartwarming reunion story
I really enjoyed this book, however if you're looking for a classic Jewell suspense story then this isn't it. Be more prepared for a heart warming story of reuniting families. Overall though, a really lovely story but not at all mysterious and thrilling as her other books.
I did find it very moving and was intrigued to know what was going to happen. The only negative thing really was there were moments in it where even the dialogue was predictable, and I found the narrators voice to be a tad grating at times, as she sometimes stuck with the same monotone voice.

Too far fetched for me.
This book started off with lots of potential and I hoped the twists and turns would take me on a magical journey. Unfortunately, the book was a little far fetched for me and some subjects touched a nerve. So sadly not one I would recommend.
