They live very different lives, but each of them, independently, has always felt that something is missing.

Reads like a Good Suspense Novel...

...despite not actually claiming to be a suspense novel. The suspense is built around the anticipated coming together of 4 completely separate domestic/family stories - stories of 4 separate people. Beautifully crafted, plenty of emotion. There's even the possibility of a murder at one point. Plenty of cliff hangers at the end of each chapter as we switch to one of the other 4 stories, eventually leading to a very satisfactory ending. I'm a fan of Lisa Jewell, and I'm pleased to say that this latest book is up there with her best.

not sure about this one.

I enjoyed this book at first but have to say I struggled in the middle and got a little bored. I usually love Lisa jewell but this one wasn't for me.

I've never been more bored

This book had first been categorized as a mystery thriller which is why I'd purchased it. It's not a mystery thriller so I'm glad it's been put in the appropriate category although I do feel mislead. I normally enjoy the author's books but this was a miss for me and I'll be returning. So incredibly boring.

Disappointed

The book in summary: hard up student decides to be a sperm doner. Fathers 4 kids. One dies as a baby. The other 3 live different lives, all in London. They meet via an agency. They meet their father who dies the next day. The end.

Brilliantly read by narrator

This was my first lisa jewell book and it was brilliantly read the narrator was so good with the different voices. To be honest thats what probably kept me listening. The book was ok but ended a bit abruptly in my opinion was a little disappointing but will try another
