A great read!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Magic of Krynn to be better than the print version?

A bunch of good stories, rangeing from homerous to very serious. The Narrator is one of the best i have heard so far, he makes the characters come alive.

Possibly the worst narrator ever

I have been a fan of the works of Weis and Hickman for 30 years. This is the first audiobook of their work (even though in this case they were the editors) I have listened to. I am sure the stories are very good however the narrator is abysmal, his droning tones prevented me getting beyond the first 2 minutes.

Do not purchase

The story in this book might be ok but the performance is so awful I had to stop listening. Truely awful don't waste credits on this.

Not what we lead to believe it is.

Would like a refund. This is not a continuation of the story. it is unrelated short stories. Don't waste your money.

Narrator will make you drive into traffic

I remember reading some of these in my younger days (enjoyed Dragonlance for 34 years now) but this audiobook... wow. They lost one narrator even though I hear different voices, but one guy who seems to do the most reading is terrible. I don't want to be insulting, hut that slow...annoying... emotionless voice is painful. I bought this for a 2700 mile road trip, but I'd just drive into traffic. I don't want to continue listening to finish the stories.

Not the best, not the worst

I’m generally not a fan of anthologies. Some of the stories were excruciatingly boring, but I liked most of them. Same with the narrator. He’s not even close to the worst, but far from the best. The worst criticism I can give Is that he only actually has two voices... “Overly annunciated old man” and “Eeyore”. Both of them detract more from the story than they add to it.

For the love of god do not purchase.

Very good story, interesting pieces from the overall story arc. This is a collection and not a traditional narrative. HOWEVER, the narrator and his performance are nearly diabolical. As someone mentioned, like a terrible ghost story rendition, this is a person who take Steven Segal movies seriously. Buy the book in print but under no circumstances purchase the audiobook.

Read the book description...

If I would of known it was a collection of short stories I would not have bought it. My mistake I will read the description next time. I’m going to try to get audible to refund my credit for this book. It’s just not my style of book.

the narrator ruins it

This is a book of short stories. The stories are alright, but the narrator ruins it. I had to listen at 1.5x because of the narrator. He reminded me of a bad ghost story teller that I listened to when I was a kid sitting around a campfire. I'm half way through and I don’t think I can make it through the rest of the book. If you're a hard core Dragonlance fan you might be able to overlook the bad narration if you listen at 1.5x, but I doubt it.
