About this listen

You don't volunteer for slugfests with vampires. It shortens your life expectancy.

And you don't fall in love with a werewolf. It interferes with your work. Especially when you're a preternatural expert, like me. My name is Anita Blake. My business brings me up close and personal with all shapes and sizes of monsters. And not all of them want to kill me.

Take, for instance, the local pack of lycanthrops – they're werewolves to you. A number of them are missing, and they've come to me for help. Maybe because I'm dating the leader of the pack. I've survived a lot – from jealous vampires to killer zombies – but this love thing may kill me yet.

Loved reading Anita Blake books so happy they're now available on Audible too. Love how the characters in the books mature and change a bit as the books progress.

So glad these are now audio books

I've been waiting for the Anita Blake books to drop on Audible and now they've exceeded my expectations. I have all of the paperback versions but this way I can listen to one of my favourite characters instead of other people. And the voice work is exceptional so I hope that it stays the same throughout the series.

at last!

Am so pleased that being abridged didn’t spoil the books at all, just cut out all the unnecessary!!
I’ve never been a fan of abridged recordings but now it’s just a book with good characters, unusual storyline without all the “panting” 😂

Surprised!!
