Summary

Detective Inspectors Vance and Shepherd reunite in the second book in John Broughton's Vance And Shepherd Mysteries. After a murder is committed in a quiet suburban subway under a tramline, it becomes obvious that the murder squad is dealing with a copycat killer.

The murder is an uncanny repeat of their previous case, and their inquiries are complicated by the presence of the main suspect’s doppelganger, Melanie Bradshaw. The brilliant chemistry master student has solid alibis but Shepherd, flying in the face of the contrary evidence, is convinced that the deceased serial killer's sister and Melanie are the same person.

As the killings continue, Vance and Shepherd face increasing pressure from above building. Can they apprehend and bring the killer to justice before more lives are lost?

mystery

Great narration from Michael Langan, who hear the mystery and action

When Tibbet gets murdered, by a fellow prison inmate, it looks like a copycat is stalking the tramways of London.
The victims appear to be randomly selected, slowly, Vance and Shepherd manage to piece together a potential scenario that may lead them to the killer.

I really enjoyed this but listen to book 1 first

This was a really good listen and an interesting story - I cant say much more as there are so many twists and turns. The narration worked for me and I got used to the voices, and they really added to the story and depth of characters. I am definitely really glad I found both author and narrator. I got addicted to the story and just had to keep listening to another chapter it was that addictive.

I was given a free copy by this did not impact my review at all.
