The Lightkeeper’s Love Affair is a short but sweet story about two men who are brought together by a storm and a hotel room. Ben is a newly graduated college student who’s about to start the next phase in his life. He finds himself in a difficult situation when vacation plans fall apart. But what starts off as bad luck turns into something so wonderful. I really enjoyed watching Isaac and Ben fall in love.

The audiobook was narrated by Michael Dean who did a fantastic job. Michael is a talented narrator who voices each character perfectly. The audiobook production was well done.

I enjoyed this super-sweet, no-angst contemporary love story. First thing you need to know (if you haven't already figured it out), this is an insta-love fairytale. I say fairytale because even after the meet-up and scorching sexy times, all the stars just align for these two in everything. No angst, no drama. PERIOD. (Even the ex is nice.) If that's not your thing, this story probably isn't for you. However, if you are looking for something short and sweet, this is your story.

My only complaint is the audio itself. I love the narrator, Michael Dean, but in this recording, his voice frequently sounded muffled or like he had a stuffy nose. If they could fix that, this would be a stellar listen.

Had this story been four times as long I probably would have enjoyed it more. As it is the story is insta-love to the max. I can appreciate a good insta-love story but there has to be strong chemistry, which I didn't feel here. I wanted more of the lighthouse, in fact they don't attend the lighthouse at all, Issac could have had any job and it wouldn't have impacted the story in any way.
A wasted opportunity.
