New Year's Eve, 1932.

Hercule Poirot and his good friend Inspector Edward Catchpool arrive on the Greek island of Lamperos for a little holiday…or is it?

This sequel was perfectly serviceable but not as sharp as previous outings. The Narrator excellent as always

Not quite as good as previous

I have enjoyed listening to these new Poirot stories but have noticed that increasingly there is too much Catchpole and not enough Poirot. The setting and denouement were not particularly engaging or plausible,

For me the earlier stories were excellent but have become less so as the series has developed, becoming increasingly contrived and the characters less interesting than irritating.

Still worth a listen and I hope the next one returns to form.

Not enough Poirot

I have enjoyed Sophie Hannah's previous Poirot books, but to be honest I found this story a little boring. The setting was of, well some commune of sorts and characters who didn't spark my imagination due to the premise of the retreat. Maybe I just prefer Poirot in England or more glamorous surroundings when travelling. The narration was superb and he made each character distinctive. I'll still look forward to the next book.

Great Narration, Story not so much...

I lost interest very quickly. The story was very dull. It was so wordy with no intrigue and I didn't care less about the characters. Not recommended.
