Summary
Alex Hollister was always one step ahead of the rumor mongers. As the reclusive A.H., she was a successful horse breeder, an unbeatable jockey, and a savvy businessman. No attempt to use the correct language
The author went so far as to have an aristocrat say he 'could care less'! 'She will do wonderful' Both current USA not even current English.
Why write a historical romance if you can't use correct English for the period?

Ball gowns and horse races for strong protagonist.
Very gripping read with many twists to the story. The characters come to life with well accented narration. Thank you Audible for excellent choice of book plus voice.

What's Important...
The Infamous A. H. by Dawn Chandler pulled me in immediately. Alexis and Marcus had known each other for years and finally saw each other for what they really were. I enjoyed how Alexis had an unbreakable spirit and heart of gold. She saw beneath the surface, and had incredible grit. Julia Eve was magical bringing the characters to life. She gave them distinguishable voices, and made certain ones repugnant to match their personalities. I found the unexpected twists in the book to be great too. Thank you Audiobook Obsession for recommending this listen. I loved it!
