Summary

The Image of You is the utterly gripping new novel from Adele Parks, author of the number one best-selling book The Stranger in My Home.

This compelling audiobook of families, love, deception and secrets is perfect for fans of TV's Doctor Foster, The Replacement, Liane Moriarty's Big Little Lies and Lisa Jewell.

When all you can see is what they want you to see...can you ever trust someone you meet online?

Anna and Zoe are twins. Identical in appearance, utterly different in personality, they share a bond so close that nothing - or no one - can rip them apart. Until Anna meets charismatic Nick. Anna is trusting, romantic and hopeful; she thinks Nick is perfect. Zoe is daring, dangerous and extreme; she thinks Nick is a liar. Zoe has seen Anna betrayed by men before. She'll stop at nothing to discover if Nick is as good as he seems. The problem is, lies may hurt. But honesty can kill.

Bit of a stretch to stick with it

Plot was not very convincing but passed a few hours on a boring journey

It's a grower!

I wasn't sure at the beginning if this was going to be a bit too typical chick lit for me (too much romance not enough substance). IT WAS NOT!

Gripped me pretty quickly and I've just spent the last 3 hours doing nothing listening to it because I needed to know the end. I never do that!

Predictable

Not Ms parks best to be honest. I guessed the "twist" very early on in this book, and as such was bored. Predictable. Excellent narration though.

Predictable

I guessed the ending fairly quickly and it made the whole story very predictable but also far fetched. Usually like Adele Parks but this one isn’t a favourite. The narration was excellent though.

Predictable

Right, so I have to say, for me this story was reasonably enjoyable, but horrendously predictable. I instantly found the American accents incredible jarring, which actually put me off the book quite a bit. I also guessed the ‘big twist’ pretty much straight away, it’s not all that subtle, so from there I was just waiting for what I guessed to be revealed. The sort of audio that’s good if you need something that won’t occupy too much of your brain.

Un-turnoff-able

Brilliant book, twists and turns in all the right places. Couldn't wait to hear what happened next.
