Yes it was long but oh my goodness it was worth it. I'm so horrible, I jumped right into book 2. However, each one is memorable. The details are exceptional and the way the author can move from one character in one location at one specific time to another character and stay on point had me awe struck. The author would either keep with the time of where he left off with one character and pick up the same time line or move the time where it needed to keep the story going and the reader would not be confused at all. The timeline was easy to follow, the characters were unique and able to follow each of the characters in mention, and you definitely wanted to see where each storyline went. And the abilities the author gave to some of the undead. He made that unique to their role in the story. Oh my gosh, I could just go on and still not even get into naming characters and the actual plot of the book. A definite must read/listen.

The narrator did awesome.
