The Audible version of The Hook is a beguiling listen that starts with a slow build and is full of mystery and suspense that will keep you guessing as the plot thickens. Full of twists and an intriguing plot, its a great who dunnit without the gore, making it both digestible and relaxing, while piquing your interest simultaneously. A great listen.

I loved listening to this book and it kept me engrossed from the start. The twists and turns were great and I couldn’t guess what would happen next. My favourite part was the mystery, but I also enjoyed the likeable characters who were bought to life through Catherine Morrison’s excellent writing. Great writing, great storytelling, great plot, great book! Highly recommend!

I really liked this despite Romance not being my genre. The story is fast paced and the characters don't face too many difficult setbacks, and perhaps I was expecting more. The narration was not good in some of the early chapters, sounding slow and robotic, and I feared this was going to put me off. It quickly improved back to a professional standard, allowing me to enjoy the story. Recommended if you like a speedy Romance with a thriller edge.
