Summary

Beyond the boundaries of the town of Gost, Croatia, an old house which has lain empty for years is showing signs of life: Laura and her teenage children have arrived. An insight into the Bosnian Wars

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hired Man to be better than the print version?

There was a genuine atmosphere of uncertainty and threat in the audio version.
