reading this with an open mind and as unbiased as possible I found the book to be a fair prediction of what lies ahead in the near future. Schwab doesn't seem to push a particular agenda as maybe expected. instead he highlights the factors that will likely impact our lives and fairly lists pros and cons. as expected the most common negative outcome is privacy and control. if nothing else thus book can maybe inspire the average person to appreciate what it is to be human. the narration is brilliant I listen on 1.15x

Was The Fourth Industrial Revolution worth the listening time?

Enduring the constant onslaught of business jargon in this book to try and understand the message it's conveying is like crossing a pond full of leaches to reach a gold bar on the otherside. There is some real value there, but the process may drain the life from you.

Any additional comments?

This book discusses some very important concepts and makes salient points about them that will be relevant to everybody. But if I hear any variation of the words collaberative and innovation repeated again to me in the near future I may collapse and die.

Well researched book that works well as audiobook and brings in material from a great deal of credible sources.

It makes one aware of the extent and relationship between industries that are being disrupted. There are multiple challenges awaiting us alongside the great benefits, we do seem to be living through a pivotal time for our planet and mankind.

This book is a must if you want to find out what type of technological advances are just around the corner, and the impact, both good and bad, they can have on our world.

This review is by a 'spectrumy' , free-thinking, creative, spiritual, technophile, conspiracy reasurcher... I both enjoyed and hated this book, it confirms many monumental changes that are planned for the coming years, which often are laughed off as conspiracy nonsense. In this book, Mr Schwab gives the broad strokes of the seismic changes scheduled for the coming years.

Make no mistake, all of these proposed motions WILL be implemented, they have the means, the knowledge, the experts and the obsession to do it. The WEF is the driving force of the UN and NATO , aka the one world government. Your masters would like you to surrender everything you possess including your own thoughts and in exchange you will be perpetualy happy, similar to the character 'Cypher' in The Matrix.

Their future that they plan for us looks like a combination of Star Trek, Things to Come, 1984 and Brave New World. After listening to this book, I'm more inclined to simply go with the flow, to blissfully float down stream - enjoying the exhilarating swerls and rapids ahead, ending the journey by plunging off the magnificent waterfall... rather than fight against the tidelwave that will eventually drown us all.

Humans are passé, it's time for Transhumanism as we enter the age of Aquarius.
