Ancient Egypt, 1231 BC...
A sudden increase in attacks on caravans, along with the delay of the Nubian tillage, sees Shabaka and Neti travel to Shabaka's home, Sylene, where they are tasked with finding the royal shutty. On their arrival they find not only that an attempt has been made on Dagi's life, but also that his death has been foretold by the most unlikeliest practitioner of divine arts.
In a race against the moon to ensure Dagi's safety, the situation increasingly gets out of hand, and before long Neti and Shabaka find themselves peering into the deepest recesses of the human soul....

A narrator's voice which is not so dry, clipped & wooden & so dicficultto listen to without feeling irritation.What other book might you compare The Forgotten Papyrus to, and why?

A continuous narrative would be more satisfying. As it is, the separate books are more like chapters, never come to a conclusion, and end either on a cliffhanger to the next episode, or at the least, in an unsatisfactory way which is not an ending.What didn’t you like about Gregg Rizzo’s performance?
The performance is dreadful. The American voice, in this sort of subject matter, is obtrusive, he mispronounces so many words it's really irritating, and his placing of emphasis in the sentence is unnatural and peculiar, and also becomes extremely irritating.What character would you cut from The Forgotten Papyrus?

I love detective stories with an Ancient Egypt setting, and his female character is interesting, so I stuck with it up to this one, number 5, but the bittiness of the story gets worse, and I just can't stand this man's voice any more. I'm stopping here, no more!!!! (And as someone else has remarked, there's no papyrus mentioned anywhere!)ANNOYING NARRATOR
