'It's night, and I'm in a strange house. The lights are on and I'm standing outside a half-open door. Feeling a terrible sense of foreboding, I walk slowly inside. And then I see her. A woman lying sprawled across a huge double bed. She's dead. There's blood everywhere. And the most terrifying thing of all is that I think her killer might be me ...'

A traumatic car-crash. A man with no memory, haunted by nightmares. When the past comes calling in the most terrifying way imaginable, Matt Barron is forced to turn to the one person who can help. Ex Met cop, turned private detective, Tina Boyd. Soon they are both on the run.....

Simon Kernick is one of my favourite authors and this is one oi his best books I think. non stop action conbined with great characters made this a book I couldn't stop listening. Paul Thornley is a terrific narator

one of kernick's best.

I have read most of Simon Kernick's books and loved them as they are fast paced and full of suspense. However his recent books have really stretched the imagination, they have become totally implausible and frankly plain daft. The narrator is one of my favourites, but I felt sorry for him having to read this overlong nonsense. Such a shame as I really loved Kernick's early novels.

Oh dear!

Good book on Audible, most probably good on paper too. A fast paced story with no idea of what twists and turns are to come. Enjoyed and would recommend.

Fast Paced Thriller

Took me a while to get into it but when I did I was shouting aloud at the narrator to help the victims.

Willed the hero to succeed.
