Summary

SHORTLISTED FOR THE YOTO CARNEGIE AWARDS 2023

Unravelling the truth, one loop at a time.

When Spence witnesses his classmate, Clara, die in what looks like a tragic accident at a house party, he is caught in a flicker in the fabric of time.

Waking up to relive the same day again and seeing Clara alive and well, Spence realizes he has been granted a second chance and is determined to prevent the terrible events of the party.

To escape the time loop, he has to re-evaluate everything he previously took for granted and find the courage to call out his own and others' complicity in events that marked the life and death of Clara Hart...

Perfect for fans of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, Karen McManus' One of Us Is Lying and the books of John Green.

A writer of YA contemporary fiction with speculative twists, Louise Finch's debut young adult novel, The Eternal Return of Clara Hart, has been shortlisted for a number of awards including the Yoto Carnegie Awards 2023 and the Great Reads Award 2022, as well as longlisted for the Branford Boase Award 2023.

Full of heart

With flavours of John Green and Adam Silvera but with something much more real, genuine - best YA read for a long long time

Powerful story told really well with a great voice

I really liked this book when I read it but this voice really brings the characters to life in a believable way. Love the performance and love the story. Really carefully deals with some big problems sensitively but forcefully. 10/10 would recommend to Young Adults or adult audiences.
