Summary

One day she had everything - the next it was gone.

William and Amy love their busy city life, but when Will collapses on his way into work he decides enough is enough and moves his family to the country.

Three months later, Amy is standing outside Helmshill Grange, a sullen monstrosity of a house, deep in the Yorkshire moors. Within days, Will has traded in the Audi for a Land Rover and brought home chickens, goats, sheep, a serial-killer cat and a mad dog.

But when tragedy strikes, Amy finds herself living a dream that isn't hers....

Interesting but unreal

Interesting idea for story but some details unrealistic. Enjoyable listen if lacking credibility in places.

FANTASTIC!!

I’ve read most of Carole Matthews books and loved them, I was dubious when I downloaded this older book in case it was not so good? I have loved every minute of it! A great story! Narrative is fantastic! Read it you won’t be disappointed

Not my favourite

I found the story a little too unbelievable.... that she could move on so quickly. Took the enjoyment out of the book unfortunately.

It's good but frustrating

I did enjoy this listen, laughing out loud at Times. But frustrating when Amy takes her family back to London,. when you know the what the outcome will be
