Critic reviews

"Were I to choose the most significant book in religion published in the second half of the twentieth century, my choice would easily fall upon Paul Tillich's The Courage to Be." (Peter J. Gomes, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals and Pusey Minister in The Memorial Church, Harvard University)

Such a good and worthwhile book but the narrator's mispronunciation of most philosopher's names and philosophical concepts makes you wince. It's a shame because he has great stamina but a narrator really should familiarise themself with author's names

Narration spoiled by bad Pronunciation of names and words

it was good but too phylosophical for me, it made it really hard to follow some time.

a bit too much for me

So hard to grasp this book. Way over my mind. Highly intelligently. Very academic. Pity, few bits I grasped seemed golden. Must search for a breakdown.

Very academic, not as accessible as I’d hoped
