Welcome to the Little Rock marina - where hearts are healed and dreams are made....

For the last two years Nell Andrews has been struggling to stay afloat. As her life tumbled down around her, the only safety net has been her cosy canal boat, The Nollie. Tucked away inside, Nell has found a place to heal her broken heart. And now she’s ready to move on and follow her dream....

Gorgeous Guy Cornish, with his easy Irish charm, makes him an instant hit with everyone at the marina and the perfect person to help Nell with her project. But Guy has his own reasons for being at the marina and a past that threatens to sink Nell’s dream....

Sweet story, slightly annoying narration

I enjoyed the story, however I found the voice of Nell quite annoying as she sounded too childlike.

Fab story. Terrible accents

Loved the way lot of the book and the characters. Such a shame the narrator couldn’t do an Irish accent. It made me cringe every time Guy spoke.

Nice story spoiled by silly narration

Pity …. Narration was just terrible! Sugary sweet, silly characterisation. Was guy Irish, Scottish, Welsh or Indian? Not quite sure.

Lovely story

Loved the story and the twists and turns. For me I didn’t get on with the narrator, but that’s just me.
Worth a listen for a feel good story

Sweet story - terrible narration

Sweet story, likeable characters but the narrators voice and intonation is annoyingly sickly and childlike so found it tough to continue. Nobody actually speaks like that..

Narration dreadful

Lovely enjoyed the story but let down by narration. Guy supposed to be Irish sounded nothing like Irish and do all 5 year olds have high pitched squeaky voices ! his voice was unbearable and everyone spoke so posh didn’t fit with the story.

Great story

Really liked this book. fun and you'll love the characters. Penny Andrews is a great narrator. it flows along quite nicely until a plot twist near the end out of nowhere which is all taken in everyone's stride which is odd. and there's no way anyone would be so forgiving of a certain male character's behaviour! but overall it's really good

cutish story, annoying narration- sorry!

So this is a bit of a predictable, sickly sweet girly novel and the annoying narration is just about bearable. I often made myself laugh by repeating what was being said. weird i know.
the vocabulary is quite repetitive at times and quite simple. Guy is meant to be 29, buy infact sounds much older!
worth a listen if you have no credits as its free.

nice story

The narrator drove me mad doing a baby voice for the main character. It's a shame because it was a nice story.

intriguing In parts

Easy listening, story a bit fairytailish but spoilt throughout by the narration, her voice was sickly sweet and syrupy with a childish lisppy whine.
