Uslan’s story traces his path from the wilds of New Jersey to the limelight of Hollywood, following his work as executive producer on every Batman film from Tim Burton’s 1989 re-envisioning to 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. Through it all, he helped to create one of the most successful pop-culture franchises of all time.

A must listen for any Batman fan
What an extraordinary life Michael Uslan has lead, this guy didn’t give up and wouldn’t accept no for an answer, I think I speak for every Batman fan when I say we owe you everything and thank you so much.

Honest and inspiring
The road not taken. A fascinating, warm, funny tale of how a comic book enthusiast channelled his passions into his life's work, and ushered in the first Batman movie (and it's subsequent sequels and reboots) along the way. Very enjoyable. Also speaks volumes with what is not said. No mention of the notorious Jon Peters and Peter Guber, and their involvement in the first Batman film, and how they attained producer credit over the author and his partner Mr. Melnicker. This may be saved for the sequel book, or its possible the author has chosen to say nothing if there is nothing good to say. I suspect the latter. Recommended.

Important and Remarkable
Uslan is such an important figure in The Batman lore. If it wasn't for him, the comic industry would probably look very different today. This memoir, is a must read/listen to any Batman fan. It's the story of a boy who made a vow and lead his life with his heart to do what he dreamed of. It's charming, even humorous in parts, and outstanding in scope how his life played out. It's an heroic tale of its own, as its almost unbelievable. But it also shows how both comics and dandomi have changed in his lifetime. It really is an incredibly story of an equally remarkable man.
