About this listen

Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned

The Babysitter is a pulse pounding psychological thriller by the bestselling author of Everybody Ain't Your Friend and The Quiet Ones series.

When Sariah Simmons accepts a week-long babysitting position for the affluent Rodwell family, she sees it as the perfect opportunity. But behind the pristine walls of their suburban home, she discovers disturbing signs that something isn't right.

Caroline Rodwell, a traveling nurse, keeps everything under strict control. Her husband Richard maintains their picture-perfect image. But basements hold secrets, and perfect families often hide the darkest truths.

As Sariah digs deeper into the Rodwells' world, she realizes she's not the only one harboring dangerous secrets. In a high-stakes game of deception where lives hang in the balance, the truth could destroy everything – and everyone – in its path.

A pulse-pounding drama full of twists and turns. This series is fast-paced, straight to the point, and packs a powerful punch that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Red Series is composed of self-contained stories – they can be listened to in any order.

Pretty impressed, first in the red series that i have listened to and i have swiftly added the rest of the series to my library upon finishing this.

Good story, well written, great twist and turns and neatly tied up in the epilogue.

would recommend.

Great short story, good narration

The sound effects were very distracting; did not like them at all. Voice alone can be extremely powerful, and the performer had that potential without the effects.

I enjoyed it except this huge thing: If Sorayya was on the news a lot with either name, then how would the couple not know while interviewing her and hearing her name and surname? Esp since they’d been on edge and scared and saw her on the news a lot? 😐

I’ll still read The Neighbor though :)

Liked the suspense at the beginning

The music is not in the book. Nowhere in the book does it say 'cue music for dramatic effect'. I had to keep fiddling with the volume as the music would drown out the talking.

the music is horrendous and off putting.
