About this listen
A twisted reflection. A deadly obsession.
When a woman is found murdered and eerily staged to resemble Attorney Sabre Brown, it becomes clear this is no random crime—someone is sending a message. As Sabre fights in court to protect a vulnerable child, her personal and professional worlds begin to collide in chilling ways.
Soon, more women turn up dead, each with disturbing ties to Sabre’s past. With the help of her investigator and partner, JP Torn, and a close-knit team of family and friends, Sabre races to uncover the truth—while a dangerous presence slips deeper into her life, mimicking her appearance, her routines... even her clothes.
Who is the woman shadowing her every move? And what does she want?
With time running out and the body count rising, Sabre must confront a terrifying question: Is she being hunted by a stranger—or someone she's crossed paths with before?

I enjoyed this book when i read the kindle version but enjoyed it even more as an audio book. This is slightly different to the normal books in this series, as Sabre doesn't appear in the court room. In fact the tables are turned and she is the one in trouble and needing help, the whole case revolves around her. The story is told by multiple characters as they all play a part in investigating who is stalking Sabre and killing people from her past, we even hear from the stalker a couple of times. This works well as you get to know not only what is happening behind the scenes but how the characters are feeling, building up the tension and suspense. This isn't really what I would could a mystery, despite all the suspects, instead it's following up the clues and reacting to the situation, or in my case just letting the story unfold and Sabre, JP and the gang do all the hard work. I enjoyed the focus on Sabre and her family but it could be read as a standalone if you are not familiar with them but why wouldn't you be? This is a engaging cast of characters and a great series, one that is always on the top of my reading list. There was plenty going on and it opens your eyes to the ripple effect your actions can have on others, so be warned.
When a body is found in an alleyway dressed up to look like Sabre, all eyes turn to her. It seems she has picked up some unwanted attention that she knows nothing about. When the victim is identified as having a connection to Sabre's past, the team will have to look at past cases to find a killer. A killer who has been planning this for a while and isn't afraid to play with them or kill again. Can Sabre and JP keep there family safe and find a killer who knows a lot more about them than they know about the killer? Dressing up bodies like Sabre and pretending to be her is one thing but what is planned for the end game?
I liked the narrator. He had fun creating the voices, especially some of the female voices which just made me laugh.
