About this listen

Two Aristocratic Adairs meet a grim fate on their own estate. Can Sherlock and Lucy clear a grandchild's name?

At an ancient British manor, tragedy strikes the Adair lineage, leaving Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James to sift through the aftermath. With the heir apparent in the crosshairs of suspicion, the stakes are as personal as they are perplexing.

As the mystery unfurls like fog over London, Holmes, Lucy, Becky, and Flynn find themselves amid a labyrinth of hidden motives and whispered scandals. In a house where every portrait could hide a clue, can our Baker Street ensemble stitch together the truth from the tapestry of lies?

This series combines the allure of traditional sleuthing with modern narrative twists, featuring charming, atmospheric settings, quirky characters, and clever, fast-paced, plots. If you're a fan of Conan Doyle's intrigue, Agatha Christie's web of motives, and the narrative drive of Lee Child, "The Adair Murders" is your next case. It's a Victorian whodunit with a modern twist, perfect for those who love their mysteries with a side of aristocratic intrigue.

These stories are well written and do reflect the style of the original Sherlock Holmes stories. The characters have developed with each stories. Im pleased that the narrators have finally been settled and make good interpretations of the story and characters. The stories were clearly originally targeted for the Americans market as some of the language and pronunciation is in Americans forms . This means some of the place names are wrong.

The stories pull you in.

Bizarre use of language - front forelegs? Is that as opposed to front hind legs? Should we need clarification that a per diem fee is daily. What bastardisation of language creates a trash bin? I could go on. It’s excruciating. As for the “Yorkshire” accent is went through everything from Geordie to Irish! The language and narration were too distracting to concentrate on the story.

Awful editing

From the outset the narration is annoying and the words completely overdo the sherlockian language

Very poor
