  • Summary

  • The ADHD Adults Podcast (in)expertly covers ADHD in adults, sharing evidence-based information and personal experiences. Join us for balloon-headed Alex the Psychoeducation Monkey's evidence-based information, James's annoyance and genuinely poor tips for coping, and the "Queen of Chaos", Mrs ADHD. Each episode also features regular games, "jokes", correspondence from absolutely real people and chaos... lots of chaos. • Episode 155 ADHD and Nutrition
    Feb 19 2024

In Episode 155 we cover the subject of ADHD and nutrition. As usual, Alex the Psycho.......education Monkey delivers the science behind the subject, all three ADHD Adults give their personal reflections, and then 'Just The Tip' covers some top tips about ADHD and nutrition. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with Alex 7-5 up for the season, The Metrics Intern continues telling us about the cities we have listeners in, and Alex reads the usual 'definitely real' correspondence. James get’s all the iron he needs from the necks of victims, Mrs ADHD will eat anything… except gelatinous stuff (of course) and Alex discloses how bad he was at biology...

  • Episode 154 ADHD and Sexuality
    Feb 12 2024

In Episode 154, we talk about sexuality, a much under-researched area of ADHD. As usual, Alex the Psycho.......education Monkey spouts the science behind the subject, all three ADHD Adults give their personal reflections, and then 'Just The Tip' covers some top tips about ADHD and task switching. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with Alex 7-4 up for the season, The Metrics Intern continues telling us about the cities we have listeners in, and Alex reads the usual 'definitely real' correspondence. James gets the numbering wrong (again), Mrs ‘didn’t get a ticket’, and Alex is a basic unit...

  • Episode 153 ADHD and Emotional Intelligence
    Feb 5 2024

Episode 153 follows on from 145 when we accidentally committed (Alex...) to doing an episode on emotional intelligence. As usual, Alex the Psycho.......education Monkey delivers the science behind the subject, all three ADHD Adults give their personal reflections, and then 'Just The Tip' covers some top tips about ADHD and task switching. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with Alex 7-3 up for the season, The Metrics Intern continues telling us about the cities we have listeners in, and Alex reads the usual 'definitely real' correspondence. Alex has the emotional inteligence of a wounded sparrow and his clothes mysteriously change mid-episode, Mrs ADHD gets confused by mandrills and nothing of consequence happens to James...

Bloody brilliant! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Totally love this podcast. It's the first one of the series I've listened to, but now inspired to listen to many more. Many thanks for taking the time to produce these, they are massively valuable 🙏🏽

Life changing.

I discovered this podcast right after my wife gently suggested I had ADHD. I had no idea what that meant but coming from a nurse who also has a degree in psychology I thought I’d better find out. This podcast has been a life changing education and has given me much needed confidence and a lot of laughs. Highly recommend.

Engaging, entertaining and very informative

I’m a psychiatrist with an interest in ADHD. This is a great podcast, giving me subtle insights into the experiences of people with ADHD that I don’t pick up on during consultations.

A funny AND credible, inclusive UK insight

A great podcast, it follows a brilliant structure (kudos to them both for adhering to a structure, which I am personally pants at)
It’s tricky to identify credible, scientific insight that is relatable and explained well in plain English, which James and Alex do superbly. They demonstrate impressive achievement and the very real struggle that is experienced by someone with ADHD wiring, overlaid with good humour. Their style may not suit everyone, but I for one love it, their passion, swearing and silliness, together it gives me a channel that helps me to feel less of a dickhead and not so odd. KlaxON.

So helpful, funny and a great listen!

Love these two, they make me laugh and shout 'yes' throughout this podcast. In an agreement way not anything else! 😂 😂
