Summary
Tavish was the best boyfriend Kelsey ever had, but seven years ago he disappeared. She coped with her heartbreak by finishing her doctorate in Celtic Artwork, and now her career is taking off. Except Tavish keeps showing up at her job sites and butting into her business - all the while wearing that stupid sexy kilt. But she's here to see the ruins, not Tavish. So she'll just have to show him who's boss at this site. Because under these cliffs at Dunskey Castle, it is rumored, lies the ancient palace of the kings of Alba. Grrr. Why does he seem to know more about it than she does?

Review
This is one book I wish I hadn’t spent the money for audible as the person narrating it has a very irritating way of reading. Very slow and drug out. I will get a sample before purchasing another one.

Welll not sure what to say ....
This books plot had a lot of potential but failed to deliver ..... I might try the next to see if it gets better. The narrator voice for the main character is very unsettling and not easy to listen too.

Yikes!!!!
The narration was irritating from the very beginning. Overly dramatic highs and lows. I only got to chapter 6 before I just could not take it anymore. Thank goodness this was free with my romance package.
The plot had potential, but got weird.

Good story. Terrible narrator.
The other reviewers were correct. The narrator is really bad. It was like a squeaky Mary Poppins. The high pitch rhythmic narration was a bit irritating. The Highlander's voice was surprisingly well done. The first word of each sentence has a profound inflection of being harshly spoken and then toning down. Each sentence is read the same way through out the entire book. Harsh and heavy first word then tapering off. The consistency with this type of inflection is unwavering. It is astonishing that she remains so consistent with this intonation. Quite sad for the author as the story line behind this time travel romance is brilliant! If you have the time to sit still and read the book, do so. It is most definitely a good purchase.

Time travel to Scotland
World and characters are well developed. Lavish and Kelsey establish personal growth during the time travel and relic hunting. Authors writing flows nicely, weaving in adventure, humor, romance and danger.
