Madly truly deeply wonderful
Having spent many summers holidays at Loch Hourn we were so privileged to see many otters and swim in waters at Camusfearna .

Tarka the otter is a beautiful and heart breaking account of the short life of a wild otter. While charming it does not shy away from the harsh realities of the hunt and the cruelty of man, leaving many listeners with a deep sense of guilt for the crimes of their own race. A must- listen for anyone who loves otters and other British wildlife.

beautiful, classic literature

the narrator was excellent but so fast , I found I was missing bits so I would reccomend slowing this down to 90

This was read to my class as a child, but I missed hearing the end. Years later the book is still a delight. A descriptive feat about the life and perils of being an otter

A beautiful novel

I loved this audio book, the use of descriptive language was unique to me. The readers voice was lyrical, though I found the hunters voice hard to deal with.
I started this book after a few days visiting the Tarka Trail.
