Summary

The acclaimed actor makes his fiction debut with this enthralling urban fantasy in which a holy warrior must convince a doctor with no faith to help stop a powerful demon and his minions from succeeding in creating hell on earth - a thrilling adventure of science and faith, good and evil, damnation and salvation.

Imagine that everyone you have ever known or loved was forced against their will into a state of demonic possession and spiritual slavery. Imagine an unholy cabal of the world's richest and most powerful men directing this sinister plan in order to cement their unbridled control of the planet.

Imagine two heroes emerging from that darkness to do battle with the forces of evil.

Set in the mean streets of Chicago, Talon of God is the action-packed adventure centered around Lauryn Jefferson, a beautiful young doctor who is dragged into a seemingly impossible battle against the invisible forces of Satan's army and their human agents that are bent on enslaving humanity in a mission to establish the kingdom of hell on Earth.

But Lauryn is a skeptic, and it's only as she sees a diabolical drug sweep her city and begins to train in the ways of a spirit warrior with the legendary man of God Talon Hunter that she discovers her true nature and inner strength. Facing dangerous trials and tests, it's a true baptism by fire. And if they fail, millions could die. And rivers of blood would flow throughout the land.

Imagine such horror. Such pain. And imagine what it would take to fight against it. For only the strongest and most faithful will survive.

Get ready. Armageddon approaches quickly.

Great narration of a really captivating story.

I loved the way that the narration brought the characters alive. I really hope that they turn this into a film. I also hope that there is a part 2.

Awesome

I love this debut from Wesley Snipes, this is so awesome and such a creative and beautiful story. The narrator was also good at switching voices for each character. I look forward to seeing a movie out of this.

Great listening, really enjoyed the storyline.

I really enjoyed listening to this book it kept my interest throughout. The characters were easily visable and entertaining. I did however think at times it was more 'goodie-goodie' than true to life in some areas but this did Not deter my enjoyment.

What an awesome book

If you could sum up Talon of God in three words, what would they be?

Best Audible Book

What was one of the most memorable moments of Talon of God?

My favorite moment was when Lauryn pulled St. Luke into the black cube.

What does Malik Yoba bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I didn't like him at all doing Lauryn's voice but I thought he did a great job with the narration and some of the male voices, particularly the Dad and Lincoln Black. BUT, if there is ever book I can't imagine ANYONE other than Mahershala Ali playing Lincoln Black (think Cottonmouth Stokes from Luke Cage). He was MADE for that part. He was the actual embodiment of evil throughout the book and not St. Luke.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book was pretty moving but I think it kicked everything up a notch when Lauryn began to slowly realize her calling.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for the next book. I think this book was great for Believers, unbelievers, people of various faiths, people who love Sci-Fi, and people who love mystery.

Haven't finished yet, but needed to say

The story was good, but the narrator has been extremely bad. I'm going to push through, because I like the story thus far, but in the future I hope this person either works better or a new narrator is chosen all together.

Talon of God

Excellent I was quite amazed! When I initially you this book before purchasing I was a bit skeptical when I saw the 1st author. I never took Wesley Snipes for a religious or even spiritual person. But this book spoke volumes and I'm just sorry there isn't a follow Or sequel because it!

Great storyline and good acting!

Mr. Yoba, did a fantastic job. I actually forgot it was him, lol. This is a really good book. Whether you get the audio version or written format. Did not expect this from Wesley, and I’m not too familiar with Mr. Norman. I truly enjoyed it! Definitely better the a movie on the plane. Seems, today’s movies are lacking just what this book delivers. Nice job. I’ll look for more from you guys, and feel free to give us more of this series as well. I think Dr. Lauren would be a great sequel!!

High hopes for this book

If this is this authors’ first attempt at writing a book then it was ok. However from the start the book was flat and remained flat throughout. There was no build-up, no surprises, no background to any of the characters that gave any of them a reason for what they did or didn’t do. Faith was talked about a lot in this book and faith is a good thing and I tried to maintain it as I sloshed through the book hoping it would get better, it didn’t. The narration was good at times but mostly bad. The characters were cliche. I watched Westley Snipes on Youtube talking about the book and figured I would give it a try because Wesley is a great actor. Wesley mentioned that he hoped this book turned into a movie. I have to say I hope that it doesn’t. If it is I hope Wesley doesn’t play one of the characters because he could not revive or make the storyline likable or realistic. Save your money or your credits on this book!

Malik Yoba was excellent the story was great

I was really surprised by the story line being a pseudo biblical theme, but it all came together and I rather enjoyed it. Malik had mastered the art of differentiating the characters voices so well it made the story more compelling, bravo my brother

A good tale!

I enjoyed the characters and the setting. I however hated the narration! Malik Yoba was an awful choice for a narrator! Get the ebook or the physical book and skip the audible book!

Loved it!

Unexpected story line, very creative. I liked the expression of inner spiritual struggle, beyond the standard veil of opinion. It was a refreshing outlook of power over oneself. Malik was kind of dry though......
