very good story

To begin with having the English/American/Canadian(?) voice between the speaking parts is very distracting. Then the Scottish accents are just very odd somehow, obviously not his own accent, but some of the Scottish voices sometimes veer into South African or Russian and once I thought it sounded Indian, very odd!!
Another thing is pronunciation… again (I mentioned this in the previous book too) what exactly does the book producer do if it’s not monitoring the quality of the reading? As with the previous book Siadh is mispronounced as “Say-d” when it should be “See-v” even a simple google search shows this, like in Irish Gaelic, “bh” is a “v” sound!
Also, as an actor you’d think he’d know that when an apostrophe is added to a word ending in “s” to denote possession, you don’t have to pronounce the extra “s”, it’s only included when written! So it’s “Niels’ dog” (with a single S) not “Niels’s dog” ie adding an extra S!
It’s disappointing that those whose job is dealing with words (actors and producers) don’t know better!

The heroine shrugs of an idea of playing it safe, continuing as usual, making the hero and his brothers overact, as none seem able to contain her.
Her only surviving brother has left the castle with his bully of a wife to escape the so called illness. He and his retinue turn up dead as well.
The reason for all this carnage is; the Aunt previously thrown out of the home has returned heavily disguised and not recognised. In an effort not to marry the man her father has chosen, she climbs into bed with a man who is not only a monster, but married. She is given to the abuser and thrown out of her family home. He builds he a fancy cottage near his family home and continues to abuse her for years. She won't leave this abuser with the man who loves her, (is it the Stockholm Syndrome or is she an narcissist) he is killed, she has his child. When the girl is 12 years old, the abuser, knowing she is not his child, replaces her with her mother. Her daughter finally kills herself, leaving a grandchild. The abuser throwns both off his land, so she returns to her family home. She blames her father for all that has happened to her and brother for not knowing her when she returns. So decided to kill them all and take over as Clan leader, she also knows about the secrete passages.
The only other person, who knows about the pasages is the "righthand man of the clan leader". So despite everyone being poisoned and proof that the only member of the family is still a target. He says nothing "as there is no clan leader", the only person he can tell.
Finally the heroine marries the hero, he becomes "clan leader", learns about the passages, understands how the murderer has managed to elude them, and tells all his brothers.
There is alot of rubbish in between, then you get chunk sizes of the story, before you return to the rubbish.
So far I have been sadly disappointed with this author's stories and can't blame the narrator for the material that she needs to read. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
