Summary

Amidst war abroad and upheaval at home, Reese Conlon and Tory King face their gravest challenge to their life together. Can love and passion survive the unforgiving storms of change? In the continuing saga of the Provincetown Tales, Reese Conlon’s obligations to family and country are put to the test as war engulfs the Middle East, while her partner Tory King must chose between her career and motherhood when her family is disrupted. While friends and family struggle with the fears and uncertainties of a world in strife, the small seaside town is rocked by a series of crimes that suggest newly arrived real estate entrepreneur, Ricarda Grechi, may have connections to more than just the business world. State Police Detective Carter Wayne intends to find out.

Provincetown is not so dangereous

Continues story in Provincetown, but story is more about emotions of Reese going to Iraq. There are two new characters which dominate the story and a romance, between daughter of mafia boss Ricarda, and police detective, Carter, which works well and is interesting. Its not as dramatic or emotional as other stories for me anyway, so gave it three for the story.

Good & evil

radclyffe delivers best in series, the blend of two stories mellows the evil of mans darkest deed, with the passionate love of Tori & Reece, the intense description of thier parting, and the warmth of Nicols' narration is palpable.

Not enough tori and Reece

Personally I enjoy watching the familial relationships develop so I wasn't so interested in Rika and Carter. Still a good plot too much police and not enough romance.

I want more or Reece and tori. Maybe even Ali to continue.

the characters were are great and it's so easy to fall in with characters. I would hope for another book or 2 to find out about if they had another baby and Reese perfect.

Amazing as always

I have to admit … was very curious how this one would end. I appreciated the storyline between the art dealer and the cop. Very intriguing! And of course I love Reese and Tory and Bree and Caroline and crew. A good beach read indeed! Me, I am listening and imagining what it would be like to be there. I am blessed that I have finally found a community with a friend group like the characters in this series.

Great tale with mafia and war

Loved this book in the series. Mafia ties with new characters and Reese going to war, lots of drama and romance. Characters continue to grow and stories are great. Very good series!

Main Character

Reese as the main character, supposed to be a smart and strong person, feels like she’s Bruce Willis in Die Hard movie. Always getting her ass kicked. She opens a door to have a bomb go off, trips while carrying a fellow marine and breaks her shoulder. It makes her seem clumsy and not like the smart character she’s suppose to be.

Another good

Whew! My blood pressure went up a bit during this story. Another great addition to the series. I'm listening while I work from home, and when the story gets too good, I have to pause it to concentrate on work!

These women love each other

These books should be labeled as erotica. I love a good sex scene as much as the next girl, but when the second half of a chapter is sex, and the first half of the next is remembering the sex from the last chapter, well that’s just redundant.
The narrator reads everything breathlessly like a sex scene, so that doesn’t help. And the characters say they love each other more often than I blink. Take out the “I love you’d” and the sex and you might have a long essay, definitely not a book.

So unbelievably good!

Wow, this book is my favorite one so far in the series. Radclyffe is killing it with her storylines plus Nicol Zanzarella did such an amazing job with her performance.

This book will make you laugh, make your heart ache, and probably make you cry- spoiler? It's absolutely worth every single second.

Tips before reading/listening

This book in the series is extremely well written. it paints a clear picture of the highs and many lows our MCs struggle through. The narration truly brings the words to life and makes you feel every emotion.

That being said, it might be prudent to know that there are far more images associated with violence and sexual assault than in the other books. There is violence, which is expected, but the physical and sexual abuse is much more prevalent in this book and those who may be triggered by that should still read this, but skip over those parts. You don't miss a whole lot in the story without it, IMO it didn't add that much.

Yes rad. Perfect

I’m sorry I ever doubted your stories. Just keep a good narrator handy. Nicol is the perfect narrator for you.
