About this listen

From best-selling horror author Dan Padavona comes his terrifying vampire novel

Something evil lives inside Jen's crawlspace.

And it's trying to get out.

Haunted by childhood demons, Evan returns to Storberry to find darkness threatens the town.

When a strange storm cripples the town's communication systems, a hideous monster begins stalking the night. Two teenagers align with Evan and a tiny group of survivors, but not everyone is who they seem.

Can they survive until sunrise?

I Enjoyed this audio book very much from start to finish great story line too

Great storyline

Storberry is an interesting horror novel with a vampire threat, broadly comparable to King's Salem's Lot in its approach to telling the story of the town and its inhabitants. I really did enjoy this aspect of the story, getting to know the characters in their day-to-day lives before a storm rolls in and causes havoc. Once this happens Padavona doesn't shy away from being ruthless to his characters, giving a solid and believable telling of events.

While I mostly enjoyed Paul-Alexandre Petit's narration of Storberry, I found that his voice didn't quite have the gravitas and depth to deliver it in a way that would have added to the experience. There were times that I felt his tone and pitch took away from the events rather than enhanced them, and it left me somewhat disappointed.

All in all, however, Storberry is a solid horror tale that kept me hooked throughout.

A compelling horror novel
