The Misfits are back together!

No Spoilers. This book seems like such a TEASEr (pun intended). I had been waiting for a sequel to Gun Meister and when I saw this, I didn't hesitate to purchase and finished it in 2 sessions (it is only 4 hours). While Gun Meister did have a lot of adult content, it seems like Noah kept all that on a much tighter leash. I'm fine with either option to be honest, but I think once he has a full length book, he'll fill it in with some more adult content. As always, soundbooth theater does an amazing job. If you've listened to Ernest Cline's Armada, this book is similar in regards to the space action. I was hoping this would satiate my desire for the sequel, but it left me wanting more.

great intro

First book of the new "game", and it's a good listen. SoundBooth did a great job, as always, and brought the characters to life. I can't wait for the next entry!

AHHHHHH!

I need so much more of this series, it's so addictive. I have to say that it is the best written and performed series I have ever heard.

Who would develop this game??

First, great performances from the crew, not the problem here. My problem is, who would want to play this game? I know it sounds pedantic but as a person who loved the first book and liked the second book because of the immersing characters and world that seemed rather inviting, this one killed a lot of that by use of one word- Orbital Mechanics. Here's the problem, this game world would not include enough people, regular gamers, because who the hell would want to play a game, as a pilot, and have to learn the ins and outs of orbital mechanics, trig, and advamce calculus? No developer would make a game so complicated. Why does this matter? It makes the story boring. Where is the adventure? Where's the interest in the struggle? Sorry all, gotta plot out vectors for a space dog fight. Sorry, not sure I will continue this book series.

very good game like

started off kind of slow but made it feel kind of like a game I think they went too much into detail with numbers and such but all in all it came out okay

Hope there's more.

it has major potential to be an epic gamelit series, hopefully it continues, with more game mechanics involved. There is a lot to appreciate in this story, though much of it could have been expounded upon. Maybe more feels and "feeling" would be nice as well.

Not the same caliber

Nothing like gunmeister. The story isnt captivating, it feels like work and makes you feel stressed the entire time.

Liked it a lot but less explicit than before

Definitely turned into a PG-13 version of Gunmeister but it was a good roll over with same characters and cast doing the voices. Noah does an excellent job transporting your inner eye into the story and making you feel as if it really could happen. The only thing that made it truly the best, was that it actually was how most of humanity would really be in a virtual world- expletive and perverted. Hope the next one turns back towards how it was in Gunmeister but had a blast listening to it!
