Summary
When Lovejoy witnesses a car crash that turns out to be a murder - with one of his oldest antique-dealer friends the victim - he sets out on a trail of revenge that leaves him pondering several bewildering questions.
Why did his friend buy up a load of junk furniture? What did he want with an old doctor's bag? Why was his friend killed? Who was trying to kill Lovejoy and - most perplexing of all - what the hell is he doing potholing through underground tunnels dodging armed hit men?

First foray into Lovejoy Audio
Having been used to only watching the TV series, this was a bit difficult to get my head around. The narration is great but I didn’t realise how harsh Lovejoy is towards everyone around him. And Tinker wasn’t a loveable rogue but a cynical old boy.
The plot was a little erratic and went all over the place at times.
I’ll try another book to get into them more.
Would be nice to hear a dramatised version with a full cast.

Downloaded all 7 - please commission new Lovejoy's
Any additional comments?
A great listen despite the odd mistake Fenton Stevens achieves the impossible by upstaging Ian Mcshane as the eponymous LovejoyReally works as an audible book series. Downloaded all 7 books .Timeless ** Never gets tired , never gets old
