Summary

"For fractured souls are like magnets. Drawn to collide into an impossible bliss."

Labeled a 'Cursed' woman of Eve from birth, Maddie has endured nothing but pain and repression at the hands of The Order's most abusive elder, Moses. Now living with her sister in The Hangmen's secluded compound, finally, Maddie is free. Free from the suffocating faith she no longer believes in. Free from endless years of physical and mental torment. Just free.

At age 21, the timid and shy Maddie is content to live within the confines of her new home - safe from the outside world, safe from harm and, strangely, protected by the Hangmen's most volatile member: the heavily pierced and tattooed Flame. Flame. The man who ceaselessly watches over her with his midnight dark and searing eyes. The man who protects her with a breathtaking intensity. And the man who stirs something deep within her numbed heart. But when circumstances conspire for Flame to need her help, Maddie bravely risks it all for the broken man who has captivated her fragile soul.

The Hangmen's most infamous member, Flame is ruled by one thing - anger. Plagued by haunting demons from his past, an all-consuming rage, and isolated by an abhorrent hatred of being touched, Flame's days are filled with suffocating darkness, pierced only by a single ray of light - Maddie. The shy, beautiful woman he cannot purge from his thoughts. The woman he has an overwhelming need to possess, the only person who has ever been able to touch him. Flame's mission in life is to protect Maddie, to keep her safe. Until a trigger from his troubled past sends him spiraling into madness, trapping him in the deepest recesses of his disturbed mind. His Hangmen brothers fear that Flame is beyond saving. His only hope of salvation: Maddie and her healing light.

Fantastic Listen!!

I have been looking forward to Flame's story so much that I was afraid it would disapointed, so to my delight it didn't

Douglas Berger, Violet Strong, J.F. Harding did a great job narrating this emotional story.

truly amazing

This is the third book in the series and my favourite so far. Possessively tormented Flame and his Maddie. Both have such haunted pasts that torment them both on a daily basis, but both can heal each other. It was great to see more of Ryder. The author has such a way of words and you can see the amount of research into certain subjects has been used to help with the characters development. Highly recommend.

Riveting, but wrenching, enthralling a definite must read

When I read Stix and Mae's story i knew I had to read the series. And I was right.. I enjoyed Lyla and Ky's. But reading this instalment was a revelation. Maddie, the small framed third youngest sister endured the most of the sisters due to the hands of brother Moses. Flame, the huge strapping, crooked nose, dark eyed, tattooed man, a tortured soul, traumatised by his past. Both Flame and Maddie find each other and realise their fractured souls can only be unfractured through their connection. Maddie finds her voice and regains her trust in men through Flame, initially through him saving her but ultimately her strength reinforces as she helps Flame cast the demons from his past that always tortures his mind.

We learn of Flame's background, his childhood and why he's called Flame. It is obvious Flame has some level of Asperger syndrome with his inability to read/understand people and his struggle in social interactions. Flame's story is gut wrenching, heart breaking and I was left emotionally drained yet also emotionally drawn to both characters. Tillie handles their initial sexual connection with great skill and care, however within a couple of sessions he's an expert and performing cunnylingus??! Lucky Maddie!!

I wanted to read Flame the most and I wasn't left disappointed.

Brilliant!

Souls Unfractured is a heart rending, yet beautiful love story. It's also book 3 in the Hades Hangmen series so it's dark and contains abuse. I highly recommend it!

Flame & Maddie ~ My Favorite In The Series!

What made the experience of listening to Souls Unfractured the most enjoyable?

The emotions this story will evoke, and the angst the characters experience. Flame and Maddie are survivors who teach each other how to overcome their past and take a chance to find happiness in each other.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were so many scenes I loved! Really, anything to do with Flame. He was such a quiet character, I liked learning more about what was going through his mind, and what made him tick.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Maddie helping Flame learn to overcome being touched, and them moving forward despite their pasts.

Any additional comments?

Despite this being a dark story with many triggers, it is captivating, well written and has excellent character development. Well worth the time, and I look forward to the next book in the series!

I loved this book!

Great story, great narrators, great point of view on abuse, and recovery! I don't normally share my reviews, because who am I right? If your looking for mc sluts, club antics, basic mc sex scenes, ect., this would be the WRONG book for you because there is NONE! Regardess of being in the completely wrong catagory in Audible (drama would have been my sugesstion) it waa an intense listen.

Great story. Ok narration.

Love this series. Gritty and different. Sad, yet inspiring that they could find and choose each other to love.

Negative- This time the male narrator kept doing the h's voice with a slight British accent for some reason. Totally unexplainable since they are in Texas and the other cult members all talk with southern type accents. It was distracting.

FLAME MELTED MY HEART

The publishers summary is spot on. This is a very different MC series. Fitting that the MC's name is Hades Hangmen since they fight a religious cult.

I never give spoilers but I think people need a warning with this series. The cult, adult men, rape girls starting at the age of eight years old all in the name of religion. Of course, the men also have more than one wife. This series is dark, gritty, and sometimes sick.

Flame endured his own hell as a child and this is why he can't stand to be touched. The way he was treated broke my heart and angered me. I would make nasty comments out loud and my husband and son would look at me and shake their head.

Tillie Cole has once again written an all consuming series. I also love her Scarred Souls series.

J.F. Harding, Violet Strong, and Douglas Berger gave a fantastic performance.

This is absolutely worth a credit if you like dark and gritty.

Struggled

This book was very hard to listen to. I had to skip some parts. The raping of kids made me sick. I wish she would have focused on the book being a biker book. This book was so very sad and depressing. I can't and won't do another book like this one ever. I have over 1,000 books.

Narration doesn't do the book justice

I love this series. I love the author. I LOVE this book in particular. But the narration.. Ugh.
"Maddie's" delivery is flat, and the narrator mispronounced so many names and words that it became annoying.
"Flame's" narration is ok, however, the weird, quasi-British accent he slips into when reading Maddie's lines completely throws me off, especially given the fact that it's inconsistent.

I still enjoy listening to these, but, as a fan of these books, I think I hoped for a bit more in the way of audible narration.

Love

Rough story. But I think this is my favorite couple. She is strong and sensible and he is so sweet underneath all the pain and scars. I really rooted for them.

my favorite

Any additional comments?

This is my favorite story/couple from the line. I adore how they are absolutely so in love with each other yet so afraid. I like how tender their relationship is. From the first book, I thought Flame was scary. From the second book, I thought he was interesting. And from this book I just adore him. His backstory is heartbreaking and it is beautiful how two broken people could become whole together. Every time they said "my maddie" or "my flame" to each other, I melted.

Crude, Coarse, and Captivating

Tillie Cole seemed to sharpen her characterization and story skills with this third installment of the Hades Hangmen series, and it's the first book of the series to get four stars for story from me. The rich detail of both backstories that involves the brutality that each protagonist faced, and how this endured cruelty and the resulting resilience are the main threads that bring and keep them together, was much better done than previous books. However, the overall satisfaction wasn't as complete as the first book. So far, it appears with this series you either get a good overall ride with average characterization or good characterization with an average ride. I'm hoping the fourth book gives us both.

I was more impressed with the narration compared to the third book, and there are no major complaints there.

I recommend this book to fans of dark romance and of the series. As with all the other books, this installment is filled with crudity and turpitude at severe levels. Not for the faint of heart.
