 Sorle-a-glach, Sorla genannt, ist das Kind eines Diebes und der Halbelfin Taina. Seine Mutter muss ihn als Gegenleistung für ihr gerettetes Leben einem einsamen Flusstrollweib überlassen, die den Jungen großzieht.
