Following degrees from the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, Sophie is currently studying for a PhD in creative writing and folklore at Sheffield Hallum University. She won a Northern Writers' Award in 2017 and has published a biography of musician, Eliza Carthy, and co-wrote the autobiography of endurance athlete Dave Heeley."
